The party last Friday night takes me back to many of the special times that I've experienced over my many years on this rock in space. How do I explain what I'm feeling?
The time spent with people I want to connect with. I'm not bullshitting about this. When I find people that have a similar desire to become closer, I take that opportunity and run with it.

Lisa, what a great surprise it was to see you come up from Tampa.
Steph, thanks for showing up even though you had a prior commitment. It was so good to see you again. Thanks also for giving Lisa a place to crash while in town. Steph, you're awesome.
Eric, Chris, L.J., Kiki, Brandon, Crystal, Rayna and Sam (hope I didn't miss anyone), you guys made my evening. To see you guys again got me glowing inside.
Marshall, pyrotechnician extraordinaire and all around great guy; thanks!
Neal, thanks for carrying on the tradition of the DRUMS.
Johna, thank you for all your hard work and hosting a great party!

Just want to share something with you:
One of my favorite cartoons shows a man on his death bed talking to his wife. He confides to her that, “I should have bought more crap”! The sarcasm oozes thick. My take is that things aren't important, but our connection to others is what matters, and I'm trying to make that happen in my life!

I hope that those that weren't able to attend last weeks party will be able to come to the next one (11/10/07). In the big scheme of things, life is really short and opportunities to connect with people that care about us is not an everyday occurrence. Just wanted to say that.
Hope to see you soon.

Yours,
Greg.
